Product identifiers can boost your eBay sales

  WonderLister Admin  October 26th, 2015

Starting fall 2015, eBay is now recommending (and will soon be requiring) that all new listing for branded items have a product identifier like UPC. EAN, ISBN or Manufacturer’s part number (Brand and MPN).

A listing that has a Product identifier will have greater visibility when buyers search on eBay. In addition, a listing having product identifier will have better placement in search engines like google and Bing.

While it is a recommendation by eBay as of now, eBay would mandate this starting 2016.

So, therefore, it is highly recommended that all eBay sellers start including these product identifiers in their listings.

How do I do this in Wonder Lister?

The easiest way to enter product identifier is by editing your live listing right inside the Listings Grid. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Click on the main menu option, Listings -> Manage. This will open a new tab labelled “Manage Listings” displaying your listings based on the last selected folder.
  • If the currently selected folder is not the “Active” listings folder, then, click on the “Active” folder on the left hand side to display your current active listings.
  • If the listings grid does not contain the product identifier column (say UPC), include it by creating a new view. To do this, click on the “Manage Views” link above the Listings Grid on the right hand side
  • Once the product identifier has been added to the Listings Grid, then, you can simply enter a value in the corresponding cell against the listing
